Pastor’s Note:
9/11 is a date that we will not soon forget.
It was on that date that our world changed dramatically, and we
are still experiencing the after-effects to this day.
9/11 is an important date to us as a church.
It is on that day, September 11, 2005, that we will begin to lay
“A Foundation for the Family.”
This is the title of the second of our Core Seminars.
A strong family (the nuclear and church family) is built upon a
number of things, but one of the most important is sound doctrine. So, we will be studying together the biblical/doctrinal
foundation of Bigelow Church. We,
the Elders, believe that this will promote spiritual growth for each
individual, for each family, and for our church family.
We will begin on September 11 at 6:30 pm.
If Sunday evenings do not work for you, then we will repeat each
session on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm.
We want everyone in our church family to attend this important
study. Transportation is
available for those who are not comfortable driving in the evening.
Please let one of Deacons know if you would like more information
on such a service. We look
forward to seeing each of you at one of these times.
Sermon Series
Pastor Brian has given us much to think about from his series in
James. What a blessing to
sit under the Word of God as we have the privilege of doing each week.
I so appreciate our church’s concern about the accurate
preaching and teaching of God’s Word.
As you can tell, Pastor Brian and I have
established a schedule of preaching and teaching. Whenever I’m
preaching, Brian will be teaching, and vice versa. I believe such
a schedule will provide greater opportunities for spiritual growth for
all of us.
Disciple Hour
Please continue to make every effort to attend Disciple Hour
classes at 9:45 am each Sunday. We
have three classes for adults, and age appropriate classes for the young
ones among us.
If you are not presently attending a Disciple Hour
class, then please accept this invitation to attend the adult class held
in the basement. We will
begin a study titled Peacefakers,
Peacebreakers, and Peacemakers.
We will study how we can turn conflicts into opportunities to
glorify God. The study will
be led by Elders Rick Carrington and Rick Warner.
Come and join us as we begin on September 11.
Upcoming Special Event
Please mark your calendars for Tuesday, September 20.
We will have a special presentation by Israel Cohen, a
representative of Chosen People Ministry.
The focus will be on seeing Christ in the Tabernacle.
We hope that by having this presentation on Tuesday evening that
more folks will be able to attend.
Please invite your family and friends to this presentation. We will start at 7 pm, and we will be taking a special
offering for Chosen People Ministry. Come
and enjoy the evening.
Thank you
We have much to praise God for here at Bigelow. I am
thankful for your continued prayer support and financial support for our
work. May God continue to prosper His work among us.
In Christ,
Pastor Frank
