Pastor’s Note:
It is good to see that work has resumed on the
church building. I trust it will look great when it is completed.
Thank you for your patience as we experienced some setbacks, but
we have found that God has been good to us through it all.
Again, I am grateful to Gary Johnson and Butch Stall for staying
on this for us. God has given us some wonderful leaders.
Proposed
Constitution Mailed
By now most of you have received a copy of our
proposed new constitution for your review.
If you have not received a copy, then please see me ASAP.
I have tried to get one to everyone, but errors do occur. Please accept my apologies in advance if you did not receive
one. It is with great
excitement and anticipation that I mail these to you.
In the next couple of months, you will have time to interact with
the deacons and me about the proposed constitution.
We will have scheduled meetings to discuss any questions you may
have, and the members will be receiving a call from their deacon care
leader to discuss the constitution privately.
For those of you who are not members, and would like to discuss
the proposed constitution privately, then please feel free to ask me for
an appointment for that purpose.
We have always sought to make the business of Bigelow known to
all who may have an interest.
Summer Events
Each July we provide an opportunity for those who
attend Bigelow to get to know others in our fellowship better.
This year’s July outing will be held on Sunday, July 18.
We need a number of folks to be hosts, and we need a number of
folks to be the guests. So,
which do you wish to be? There
are sign-up sheets in the back of the auditorium for you to sign up for
which you would like to be—a host or a guest.
In the past we have had good
attendance at these events, but this year I hope we will have great
attendance. You have plenty
of time to clear you calendar, to make plans to attend, and to sign up. What are you waiting for?
This is a great way to put those “one another” passages into
practice we have been learning about on Sunday evening.
Sermon Series
We continue our study of the book of Hebrews during
our worship time. We are
coming close to the end of this wonderful book.
I’m still thinking about an Old Testament book to study.
There may even be a short series on an important topic as it
relates to where we are going as a church.
So, please keep praying for the Lord’s leading in my preaching
schedule.
Opportunities
for Growth
Don’t forget our study times on Sunday morning
during Disciple Hour, and our Sunday evening study.
We have growth opportunities for all ages at these times.
We have wonderful teachers who are well prepared to teach you the
truth from God’s Word. Looking
forward to seeing you at these times very soon.
Thank You
Again, I find myself thanking God for your
participation in the gospel ministry of Bigelow.
You are faithful in praying, giving, and serving.
May God continue the good work He began among us!
God bless you.
In Christ,
Pastor Frank
