Pastor’s Note:
It is good to be back in the USA.
I greatly enjoyed my trip to the Ukraine, but it is always good
to be home. Again, I was
reminded of just how much I have, and the responsibility to use it for
God’s glory. Our dear
brothers and sisters in the Ukraine are thankful to God for what they
have, which is little in comparison to us.
And, they are good stewards of the little they have.
I was treated to the best they had to offer, and by that I was
humbled.
They wanted me to make sure that I thank each of you for your
support of their work in the Ukraine.
They appreciated the teaching they received, the scarves made by
Mrs. McCoy, and the financial assistance in support of the advancement
of the Gospel. You may
never meet them in this life, but you will meet them in the one to come.
What a privilege for me to represent our church body to these
faithful men and women. They
ask that we continue to remember them in prayer, as they promise to
remember us. So, I want to
thank you for all that you have done to make it possible for me to
travel to the Ukraine to serve the body of Christ there.
Plans are being made now for my return next November, if the Lord
wills.
Core
Seminars
We will finish our Foundation
for the Family Core Seminar on December 4.
We have studied the doctrinal foundation of our church, and why
we think it is important to understand it.
In the remaining Sunday evenings of December, we will answer any
questions that have been raised during our core seminar.
So, if you have any, then please write them down and give them to
one of the elders or email them to me at franktal@adelphia.net.
The elders are working now on a four year schedule of core
seminars. We will be
sharing our plans at our Annual Members Meeting on December 7.
We will also share with you what we will be doing on Sunday
evenings starting in January 2006.
We have many great things to look forward to.
Sermon
Series
I will continue a short series of message on the preincarnate
ministry of Christ as the Angel of the Lord this month.
I will start a new series of messages from the book of Amos in
January.
Pastor Brian will continue preaching through the book of James,
and then will be doing a series of messages on the Gospel.
Please make a special effort to invite your family and friends to
worship with us. Word of
mouth is said to be the best form of advertising.
And, it is the cheapest form of advertising, so spread the word.
Annual
Members Meeting & Dinner
Please make sure to attend our Annual Members Meeting and Holiday
Dinner on December 7 at 6:30 pm. We
enjoy good food, good fellowship, and transact important church
business—vote on the 2006 budget and officers.
There is a sign-up sheet on the table in the back of the
auditorium. Please sign-up.
Thank You
I am thankful for your continued prayer support, and I would
ask that you continue your efforts.
As we continue to appreciate our place in the overall Kingdom
efforts of the Church in our community, may we pray with ever increasing
zeal to see many saved and many others to grow in Christlikeness,
including ourselves. May
God continue to meet our financial needs through faithful giving.
And, may God be glorified in our midst.
