Pastor’s Note:
Votes have been cast, and the results are in …
Brian Evans has been
elected Associate Pastor of Bigelow Church.
It is with great delight that I announce to you, that Brian Evans
has been added to our pastoral staff.
Brian’s gifts, education, experience, and temperament will add
greatly to our ability to accomplish the goals and objectives of our
fellowship. I might add
that his family will add greatly as well.
I trust that the Evans’ presence among us will have a positive
impact on all. Please pray for the Evans family as they become a part of our
Bigelow family. Please make
sure to introduce yourself to them ASAP.
You might even invite them out for dinner, dessert, of just a
visit.
Brian and I will be working in conjunction with the Elders to
move us forward in the implementation of our philosophy of ministry.
Key to this will be sound biblical teaching and preaching, which
has been at the heart of what we are about as a church. Brian and I will share teaching and preaching
responsibilities. The plan
is for Brian to teach on Sunday evenings while I am preaching on Sunday
mornings, and visa versa. This
will allow us maximum time to prepare to teach, preach, and develop our
Core Seminar materials. The
other elders will be involved in giving oversight and direction to our
overall ministry plan, and they will have some teaching and preaching
responsibilities as well. God has blessed us with Godly leaders, and for this we are
thankful. So, please pray
for each of us as we seek to lead Bigelow Church in God-honoring growth.
Sermon/Teaching Series
I will continue to preach through 1 John on Sunday mornings. Brian will begin a series of doctrinal studies on Sunday
evenings. These studies
will cover the foundation upon which Bigelow stands.
There is much to learn from this study, and I trust that you will
come and grow. I’m
looking forward to this study myself.
See you there.
Ukraine Trip
As I mentioned in last month’s newsletter, I will be going to
the Ukraine again this year. I
will be going to the same location I went last year—Chernovtsi.
But, we will be traveling also to Odessa to teach another group
of pastors this year. We
will travel more this time than last, but this will give us maximum
opportunity to help our brothers and sisters in the Ukraine.
So, please begin to pray for this trip—safety, the clear
presentation of the truth, and the maximum impact of our preaching and
teaching.
If you are interested in helping with the expense of the trip,
then please make your check out to Bigelow Church, with the word
“Trip” written in the note section.
The cost of the trip this year is $2800.00. This includes airfare, and it underwrites the expense of
feeding, housing, and providing teaching materials to the nearly 60
pastors we will teach. I so
appreciate your prayer and financial support as we partner with the
Church in the Ukraine.
Thank You
Again, I want to express my thanks to you for your faithful
prayer support, financial support, encouragement, faithful attendance,
and desire to grow. May God
continue to bless His work among us, and to encourage us in the work
before us.
In Christ,
Pastor Frank
